I am beyond exhausted so this will have to be short but I thought I would send out a quick update before internet becomes less available. Today we had our first day of Italian class and I learned SO much. They broke us into three different groups so our class only has 7 girls in it and our professor is wonderful. We're going to have a fun semester, I think. After class (it's three hours with half an hour break in the middle for the first month), we had a light lunch and then another little break. At two, we had orientation where we filled out a bunch of forms and then got our Italian cell phones. Then we took a little walk (although it was ridiculously hot so we didn't last long) before dinner. For dinner we went back to the same restaurant as last night but had a completely different meal. For our antipasti, we had delicious brushetta. That was followed by pizza after Italian pizza delivered to our tables until we couldn't move. Finally, it was one girl's birthday today, so we all sang happy birthday and they brought out a big fruit tart that we all got to share. It was absolutely delicious. We walked home from dinner and here I am. Now, it's time for me to get to bed. Stupid jetlag. I'm ready for it to be gone so I can really enjoy Florence. Also, we move in with our host families tomorrow so wish me luck! Okay, it's really time for bed.
